Fresh Mint Tea from the Tomato House
It came to my attention early on in my farming life that mint always seemed to grow alongside the tomato vines. I hadn’t planted it there, nor did I know why it had decided that the tomato house was a good place to live. It just grows there, apparently. Every time I go to gather a basketful of tomatoes, I see the mint and think, I should make mint tea..
How to Brew Fresh Mint Tea
Simply pour hot water over the mint and let it steep for a few minutes, until it takes on a gentle colour.
The leaves will eventually turn brown; it’s best to take them out of the teapot before it gets too much.
The scent is strong, but it has a mild, gentle taste. Best when you feel like changing your mood.
